The Caldecott Medal is named in honor of nineteenth-century English illustrator Randolph Caldecott. Awarded annually by the Association for Library Service to Children, a division of the American Library Association, it goes to to the artist of the most distinguished American picture book for children.
2003 Caldecott winner, Eric Rohmann, just sent us four illustrations to display here at the gallery. They are from the books, Pumpkinhead, and The Prairie Train. All will be on display by November 17.
