An Interview with Carol Baldwin, another speaker at "Write at the StArt"
TD: First of all, let me say that it’s been a pleasure getting better acquainted with you. Writing conferences have a way of connecting people quickly. Chautauqua was great, wasn’t it?
Carol: “Great” is hardly a big enough word to describe Chautauqua! I would highly recommend the Highlights Writers Workshop for anyone who is seriously interested [...]
Some "Thank Yous"
I just want to mention some people that had a big impact on me during my week at Chautauqua. There are many more, but let me single out a few.
Bernette Ford, Color-Bridge Books, LLC, was my writing mentor for the week. She has a vast resume in children’s publishing, including years as a vice-president at [...]

Digging Deep at Chautauqua
This is Carol Baldwin speaking now. Tim just grabbed me as I came down the library steps and asked me to share a few thoughts with all of you. Chautauqua Impressions
This conference is amazing! I’m ready to declare that it is worth all the time and expense. Chautauqua is place packed full of history. People like Susan B. Anthony, Edison, Gershwin just to name a few stayed here. Things like adult continuing education started here. And yes, some authors are “discovered” here.
Tim is at Chautauqua
Yes, I’m here! Hope to send updates this week.
Interview with Vonda Skelton, Keynote Speaker for "Write at the StArt" Conference
Pam Zollman: What was the inspiration or motivation behind your becoming a writer? Was it a book, a person, an event or incident…or a combination?
Vonda Skelton: I’ve always had an active imagination and did well in writing while I was in high school and college. But I’ll never forget the day my [...]
